HPHT JU Operations Course

ABOUT THE COURSE

This course has been especially written for personnel who are involved in drilling High Pressure High Temperature wells with Jack-Up Drilling Rigs.

Its focus is upon the key operational issues associated with drilling these often difficult and demanding wells so that risks are known about in advance and can therefore be avoided / mitigated.

This intensive course shows drill-crew delegates what’s important from the Operators perspective and shows Operators the difficulties drill crew face in order for their objectives to be achieved. It also allows Service & Supply personnel to understand the operational challenges involved and what difficulties Drilling Contractors and Operators face during the operational phases of drilling.

New technologies are emphasised – particularly Managed Pressure Drilling – as are the key operational aspects of HPHT Well Control. A DWOP exercise is also included to give delegates a flavour of what goes on during such exercises which is particularly useful if someone has never been to one before.
